Hospital Utilization Management Program
The Ohio Department of Job and Family Services (ODJFS) releases this Request for Proposals (RFP) for the purpose of identifying one vendor to implement and manage a statewide Hospital Utilization Management Program for services provided to Ohio Medicaid consumers, and measurement of quality of care for services provided to Medicaid consumers. ODJFS is seeking proposals from vendors who will provide ODJFS with specified Hospital Utilization Management Program services. The purpose of this program is to support the ODJFS Office of Fiscal and Monitoring Services (OFMS) quality efforts by obtaining an external vendor to implement and manage a statewide Hospital Utilization Management Program for services provided to Ohio Medicaid consumers. The selected vendor will be responsible for utilization reviews, including focused reviews, pre-certification reviews, special reviews, and retrospective reviews. The selected vendor will provide reports and analysis of review findings to ODJFS. Additionally, the selected vendor will conduct quality of care studies, provider education, and provide technical assistance to ODJFS.
