Active Directory Project
The Ohio Department of Job and Family Services (ODJFS) are soliciting bids to identify a vendor who will provide professional IT consulting services to design and build a “Greenfield” Enterprise Active Directory 2008 network supporting 25,000 users throughout the state of Ohio with locations in all 88 Ohio counties. The vendor will also migrate all 25,000 users to the new Active Directory environment so that they can leverage Active Directory for file and print services. ODJFS currently provides all network services in a Novell environment. This project will position ODJFS to begin the transition from Novell to Active Directory for all network services. This project will be conducted in three (3) phases. Phase I will consist of workshops that the vendor will facilitate to gain a more detailed understanding of the outlined scope and complete a functional requirements document. Vendor will design and build a “Greenfield” Microsoft Active Directory 2008 network for a 25,000 plus user community to facilitate file and print services. Phase II will consist of identifying all Novell Zenworks NAL objects and migrating them to Microsoft Systems Center 2012 for management. Phase III will consist of rolling out Active Directory to the remaining counties throughout the state of Ohio consisting of approximately 18,000 users.
