Opportunity Description

The Ohio Department of Job and Family Services (ODJFS) is soliciting bids to identify a vendor to provide professional IT consulting services to assist in implementing a Virtual Desktop and Server environment. ODJFS is seeking one (1) to two (2) IT consultants to leverage highly experienced outside resources for the design, implementation, and support of this project. The professional IT consulting services that ODJFS is seeking to assist with this project will also include formal onsite training for seven (7) ODJFS Information Technology (IT) staff. Knowledge transfer to ODJFS staff is required by the vendor as part of this award. Additionally, the professional services contract will include services to assist ODJFS with County site migrations of Novell physical server hardware into a virtual server hardware environment. The selected vendor will be responsible for but not limited to: A. VMWare Architectural design, implementation, and ODJFS staff training for virtual desktop and server environments; B. Capacity planning; C. VMWare HA & DRS Configuration; and D. Novell server migrations to VMWare environments
