Video Surveillance as a Service

Opportunity Description

The Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities (DODD) has an onsite video surveillance solution that was implemented in 2016 at the eight (8) DCs located in Batavia, Cambridge, Columbus, Gallipolis, Highland Hills, Mount Vernon, Toledo, and Tiffin. The current software solution is Milestone XProtect implemented on-premise supporting one thousand five hundred fifty-one (1,551) cameras of various models, across thirty-one (31) windows servers, one hundred thirteen (113) switches. See Supplement 1 Section 1 for more details. The current surveillance system is aging and is due for a replacement.

The business team will login to each server to review the video footage for any unusual incidents or as part of an investigation. The business team will conduct searches and view footage to locate data and recordings as necessary and may request to hold footage for legal purposes.

With limited resources to support the business, DODD is seeking to modernize the service delivery to the business stakeholders through VSaaS and to eliminate the need to support internal servers and software upgrades.
