Refugee Youth Mentoring Program

Opportunity Description

The Ohio Department of Job and Family Services (ODJFS) releases this Request for Grant Applications (RFGA) to award funding to qualified applicants from five (5) counties in Ohio (Cuyahoga, Franklin, Hamilton, Montgomery, and Summit) to implement the Refugee Youth Mentoring (RYM) program. The RYM program is designed to match eligible refugee youth with mentors who will support successful integration and help youth to thrive. ODJFS is seeking applicants for this funding who are government entities or non-profit organizations in Ohio, particularly applicants with specific project descriptions that focus on outcomes and convey strategies for achieving intended performance. Through this RFGA, applications are solicited from organizations that can offer United States Department of Health and Human Services, Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) eligible youth between the ages of 15-24, a range of services that will focus on areas that will promote positive civic and social engagement and support individual educational and vocational advancement.
