Governor's Office of Faith-Based and Community Initiatives (GOFBCI): Summer Meals Program Services

Opportunity Description

The Ohio Department of Job and Family Services (ODJFS) releases this Request for Proposals (RFP) number JFSR1415218095 on behalf of the Governorís Office of Faith-Based and Community Initiatives (GOFBCI) for the purpose of competitively selecting one qualified non-profit organization to provide program administration services, including food and delivery service coordination, for GOFBCIís multi-pronged Summer Meals Program (SMP). This initiative consists of three separate programs - the Summer Rural Delivery Meals Program, the Summer Weekend Meals Program, and the Mobile Farmerís Market Program Ė that are designed to combat childhood hunger and food insecurity in Ohio by increasing the availability of food for children and improving their access to it during the summer months. The selected SMP Contractor must begin providing services by June 2015 and maintain services for a minimum of 10 weeks.
