Question:   Over the past many years, the State of Ohio would purchase most all of the Cisco SMARTnet through a specific MBE even when that MBE did not provide the Cisco hardware/software. As an example, when a Cisco VAR was awarded a bid for Cisco hardware and software that was sold to a state agency, the SMARTnet was removed from the purchase and later purchased through the MBE that held the master contract. For this RFP, does the State intend to procure all SMARTnet on future Cisco HW/SW purchases through the awarded bidder as it has done in the past?

Answer:   This inquiry is outside the scope of this solicitation. Future purchases cannot be determined as variables may change, such as type of project, agency funding, et cetera.

Is the state looking to purchase additional smartnet coverage beyond that current expiration date right now?
