Answer:   DODD will not be purchasing any additional software for this project. The integration tools are Microsoft API manager and LogicApp.

Answer:   1. Yes, the Salesforce Architect should have all the certifications listed in the RFQ 2. A vendor can submit any number of candidates; although we are only selecting one candidate. 3. The immigration status is the responsibility of the employer. Any candidate submitted in the response to this quote must be authorized to work in the United States according to the Immigration Reform Control Act. Failure to provide the appropriate documentation upon request may result in disqualification or termination of the awarded contract.

We can try to give the best estimate, but it is not going to be accurate with the limited information we have at our disposal at this time. As an example, the first deliverable is “1. Architecture Strategy for DODD Salesforce Organization(s)” . Let us say that we estimate 150 hours for this deliverable, but the actual effort takes 200 hours, will the vendor be paid for the 200 hours it took to complete the deliverable?

Answer:   DODD expects that the proposed resources has extensive experience working with organizations to establish standards and configure a Salesforce environment to ensure the architecture will scale and meet development requirements that supports multiple solutions. DODD will evaluate deliverable change requests and will work with the vendor to obtain a mutually agreeable outcome.

Question:   Based upon our review of the requirements and deliverables outlined in the RFQ, this effort is a project that will require the services of a team to complete. Is this in alignment with DODD’s thinking? If yes, we have the following additional questions: How Many Integration Points are there? What is the scope of the Salesforce Application? What tool will be used to push data into Salesforce? Has Flosum already been implemented?

Answer:   A: This RFQ is seeking a Salesforce Architect. The expectation is that the candidate proposed will be highly skilled and knowledgeable and multiple resources would not be necessary. The implementation of Flosum has been started. The integration points may vary depending on the business requirements for a solution.

Are the "Units of Work" referred to in the "response format " (on page 4) same as "Deliverables" on page 2 of the RFP? If not, what exactly are the "Units of Work" we should be basing the deliverables on? If yes, are we expected to include additional deliverables that we foresee beyond those mentioned? 3. The statement under “Schedule” on page 4 leads us to believe that this is a T&M engagement, where you expect the contractor to work M-F 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM and you pay for 40 hrs a week. However, in the “Response Format” section, you have specified that the vendor will be paid upon deliverables, indicating that this is a fixed bid project. Can you clarify the type of this engagement? 4. Should the response include just the deliverables and cost or the deliverables, hours, and cost? Is the cost for each deliverable expected to be further broken down based on hours spent for each task leading up to the deliverable? 5. We have a Salesforce team with multiple resources with the appropriate skills. Can we suggest a team approach to this engagement so that the project can be done in less calendar time, while the total effort will remain the same? 6. Can this work be executed primarily from a remote location (e.g. Cincinnati)? 7. If some of the work must be done onsite, do you have a percentage of onsite vs offsite? 8. If offsite work is permissible, how often should the consultant be onsite? 9. What is the process for selecting the contractor? Is there going to be an interview of the consultant or team? Will the interview be via video/phone or in-person? 10. Can you give us an idea of the organizational IT structure? 11. Can you elaborate on point no 4 in the "In Scope" section? What constitutes a new business Opportunity? Is there a deliverable expected here? 12. Is there a specific budget or a budget range for this initiative?

Answer:   1. Page 3 lists candidate requirements and qualifications under Expected Experience and Salesforce Technical Architect 2. A: Same as Deliverables on page 2. The expectation is that responses must include the deliverables as outlined on Page 2. 3. A: This is a deliverables based engagement. The expectation is that the proposed candidates are working core business hours to provide the deliverables on page and perform work the in scope activities on page 2. 4. A: Page 5 #6 For each deliverable, a description, estimated time (hours) to complete and cost. A rate card should also be included. 5. A: This RFQ is seeking a Salesforce Architect. Answer:   The response is to provide the estimated hours for each deliverables as best that can be estimated. The response must also respond with a rate schedule for additional T&M work. The work is more centered on establishing standards and management for implementation of the Salesforce architecture and the expectation is that the Offeror has the ability and experience to provide a reasonable estimate for the project.

Answer:   This position is onsite at the Rhodes State Office Tower. This position is Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. EST. The position is 40 hours a week.
