Application Upgrade for Dynamics365
Document #: DBDMR-20-05-003
Question: What is current state of CI / CD where automated deployments are concerned?
Answer: DODD is Not using CI/CD deployments for its Dynamics 365 deployments . The deployments are currently done by DODD designated CRM deployment managers who manually export and then import the solution from one environment to another.
One of the objectives of the project is stated as follows: Convert Classic D365 Workflows that do not contain custom workflow activities to Microsoft Flows as part of the migration. What is the expected volume? (Assuming the Business Process column of the inventory is specific to Business Process Flows)
Likewise, what is the expected scale / scope / volume of the objective to Implement Interactive use dashboards? These dashboards have limitations, so can we assume this is not intended to be a 1:1 replacement of existing?
Answer: There are approximately 750 workflows and 300 dashboards. These will need to be an assessed to identify where conversion to Microsoft Flows and consolidation to interactive dashboards would be beneficial. We do not expect a one for one replacement for dashboards.
Question: Hi, We would like to request for an extension for submission deadline.
Answer: The State has decided not to provide an extension at this time.
Question: We are not clear from the RFP if all resources (except the PM) must be 100% onsite. In the RFP it is mentioned that mutually agreed upon conditions can be established, is that for the PM or the other resources listed? We have many successful projects primarily completed remotely and we can keep our costs down in this manner, what percentage of remote work would DODD consider in each job category? The following job categories are listed in the RFP: DevOps lead, UI Senior Developer, Test lead and BA Q: Are these job titles essential or can the vendor propose the position titles that we feel would be best to complete this project?
Answer: DODD prefers that the primary leads for the project are on site for the project due to they must work closely with the business users and IT staff to ensure that the application conversion is functioning as expected. The proposal may establish a staffing plan that includes remote work and a schedule that outlines when project staff will be on site. The titles for staffing do not need to be as specific as what is in the RFP.
Question: Please tell us, What are the instances of D365 (Dev, PROD) which the agency uses.
DODD has the following environments in place for the Unified UI upgrade project
Development - 3 sandbox instances (used as Gold boxes) by Development teams for integration of applications and end to end testing by the development team. We do have additional sandboxes that are specifically assigned to development teams for their development work.
Quality Assurance - 3 sandboxes instance (used by our internal QA team for testing)
User Acceptance Testing - 3 sandbox instances (used for testing by our external users and stakeholders in all 88 counties of Ohio and other business units)
Training - 3 sandbox instances (used exclusive for training purpose with staged data)
Production - 3 Production instances (used by production users)
Question: Will the agency be taking advantage of new views within the UI?
Question: Is your current deployment setup in a single-tenant or multi-tenant architecture? What are the current number of Users?
Answer: DODD uses a single-tenant architecture for its Dynamics365 Online deployment. The number of users = 4600.

Answer: A subcontractor's experience may be submitted for requirements that do not specify who must possess the experience.

Answer: The document field is hardcoded for the uploading of only pdf files. Providing this solicitation in MS Word format only, was intentional.
