Question: What is the definition of a workforce alliance in accordance with the purpose of the grant?
Answer: A description of the components that comprise a workforce alliance, otherwise known as an industry-sector partnership, is provided on page 1, section 1.1 in the Purpose portion of the RFGA. In terms of the purpose of this RFGA, such an alliance is a regional consortia of employers, WIBs, ABLE Providers, community colleges, economic development agencies, and industry associations or others that provide training to addresses skills shortages that hamper Ohio's targeted industries. Such partnerships promote industry growth and competitiveness and will create career-pathways for low income, unemployed, and underemployed persons.
